Retreats hosted
by the Rancho
Curated multi-day immersions led by our resident teachers and visiting facilitators. Yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound — woven into the rhythms of the coast.
See upcoming →A dedicated practice space where the lagoon meets the Pacific — retreats, daily classes, and the kind of quiet that lets the body remember how to breathe.
The YogaMala shala sits at the edge of the mangroves, where the air is salt and green and the mornings arrive with herons.
An open-air palapa with polished concrete floor, ceiling fans, and views through the trees to the lagoon. The space holds up to 20 practitioners comfortably, with room to spread out for restorative sessions or breathwork.
Beyond the shala, the land itself becomes the practice — walking meditation along the beach, cold plunges in the Pacific, journaling under the palms. Everything here is designed to slow you down.

See upcoming →Open to residents and visitors alike. Morning vinyasa at sunrise, evening yin by candlelight, breathwork sessions, and Saturday community practice.
Bring your group, your curriculum, your vision. We handle the space, the meals, the accommodations, and the logistics — you lead the transformation.
Learn more →A silent retreat blending Vipassana-style sitting with gentle asana, breathwork, and long walks along the beach. No phones, no agenda after noon — just stillness.
Pranayama, restorative yoga, and somatic release. Designed for burnout recovery, nervous system regulation, and learning to rest without guilt.
Start the year grounded. A week of Ashtanga foundations, intention-setting workshops, cacao ceremony, and lagoon excursions at dawn.
You bring the teaching. We handle everything else — accommodation, three daily meals, the shala, airport transfers, and local coordination. You focus on your group; we make the place work.
Simple, beautiful eco-cabins with private or shared options. Cross-ventilated, mosquito-netted, and built from local wood and adobe. Each cabin has its own outdoor shower under the palms.
Three plant-forward meals a day, prepared with local ingredients — fresh fish from the lagoon, tropical fruit, hand-pressed tortillas, and herbs from the garden. Dietary needs accommodated with notice.
I came to move my body and left with a stillness I hadn't felt in years. The shala at sunrise, the sound of the lagoon — it does something words can't explain.
As a facilitator, the logistics of hosting abroad can be a nightmare. Here, I just showed up and taught. They handled everything else — beautifully.
The food alone is worth the trip. But waking up to herons and falling asleep to stars — that’s what brought me back for a second time.
Whether you're joining a retreat or bringing your own, YogaMala is waiting.
