01 / THE IDEA
We want food shopping to feel more connected: to the season, to its place of origin and to the people who produce it.
At Rancho de las Estrellas, we're developing a food project that brings together crops from the ranch, complementary foods from regional producers and a simpler way to discover what's available.
We're exploring soil-grown vegetables and herbs alongside small hydroponic trials, learning which methods and crops work best here. The selection will develop with those results, the seasons and the interests of the people who join us.
Rancho will be the first participating producer. Over time, the aim is to welcome other growers and food makers into a shared shopping experience for households and businesses.
Know the food. Meet the people behind it.
02 / WHAT WE'RE PLANNING
These are the kinds of products we're exploring. Tell us what interests you as we shape the first selection.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS
From tender leaves to ingredients for the pantry, these are some of the foods we are exploring for the first selection. Here is how they might find a place in your kitchen.
Lettuce and Swiss chard are among the vegetables being considered for growing trials at the ranch. The first selection will depend on what works well here.
At your table Crisp lettuce for salads and sandwiches; Swiss chard for sautés, soups and warm dishes.
Two familiar kitchen ingredients we are exploring alongside the leafy greens. Varieties and growing methods will be shaped by the trials.
At your table Cucumber for fresh salads; cherry tomatoes for a quick pasta, a roast or a colorful side.
Fresh basil and other cooking herbs are part of the plan, with the possibility of dried herbs and chiles as the project develops.
At your table Basil for sauces and finishing a dish; dried herbs and chiles for seasoning everyday cooking.
We plan to explore fruit from regional growers alongside the ranch crops. The fruit selection will follow the season and the producers who take part.
At your table Fresh at breakfast, shared at the table or as an ingredient in a seasonal dessert.
These coastal foods are being considered with suitable producers and processing partners. Producer and product information will be shared before ordering opens.
